Danny has spent years avoiding his past, but when a call from his father’s nurse signals time is running out, he’s faced with a choice he can no longer ignore. Now a father himself, Danny sees his estranged relationship with his dad through new eyes.
Pops is a poignant exploration of role reversals, where parents grow childlike with age, and children must learn to accept their parents for who they are. Told through a deeply subjective lens—with a striking and playful twist—an 11-year-old boy portrays the aging father, bringing a unique perspective to this universal story of family, forgiveness, and transformation.
As a personal reflection on the evolving dynamics of parenthood, Pops is a reminder to see the people we love not as we wish them to be, but as they truly are.
